Madrona Wrap-up

Although I would gratefully walk in the shadow of Judith MacKenzie McCuin fro the rest of my life, the Madrona retreat would not have been possible if it weren't for the people behind the scenes. Vanessa and I were working on our Olympic Knitting projects when things were winding down on Sunday when we noticed this:

No offense meant Suzanne, but I think this was the only moment I saw you relax the whole weekend. Thank you so much for a magical, wonderful retreat!

I did bring my camera to the retreat, but I was so enamoured with the concept of spending time with like minded folks that I didn't even think to pull it out of my bag until Sunday afternoon. Classes were winding down, the majority of people had departed and a small cadre of knitters found themselves in front of the fake fire and the television, knitting furiously, and chattering away like we had know each other all our lives.

Oh no! Knitter down! After suffering the humility of cables gone wrong, (feb 13 entry) the ultimate injury occurs when Jessica discovers a break in her yarn.

Even Stephanie found a few moments to relax.

What an awesome weekend it was. Work somehow does not even compare.

Wow - it sounded fantastic - saw Rose Kim Knits blog about the Harlot and you guys having fun - would have loved to have been there - sigh - long way from Wollongong. Did you learn to spin lace weight in 4 seconds too?

One of the best parts of that whole weekend was you.
