Portland recap

As I promised, here are some of the pictures from our Portland trip. We made it all the way to Fife before we had to stop for a quick break. Here Jessica models her version of Rogue at the Poodle Dog.

We eventually made it down to Portland, where our hotel was fun, with bright colors everywhere and salt water taffy in the lobby. I was particularly taken with the lamp in the hallway. The Inn @ Northrup Station waas delightful.

Here is just a sample of the yarn in the FarmHouse Knit shop just outside of Portland.

The yarn in the shop was wonderful. I think that although the yarn was beautifully displayed by color, that we all had a bit of trouble with finding similar yarns in different colors. But despite that, I didn't have much difficulty finding at least one colorway that was lots of fun.

This colorway was actually called Peridot and Periwinkle. I wish that I had taken a picture of it before I wound it off and started knitting. In the skein it reminded me more of a pansy, so I am calling these my pansy socks.
I have more pictures and stories to tell, but they will have to wait until tomorrow. I will leave you with a picture of me wearing Martha. A model I am not!
