Weekend finishing

We had a wonderful time in Portland, perusing yarn shops, eating, perusing more yarn shops. You get the general picture. Speaking of pictures, photos of the weekend will be forthcoming, but I thought that I would start with the two finished projects from the weekend.

First up is the diagonal rib socks. I am rather pleased with the way that these turned out. I think that they are going to become a gift. One of these days I will actually finish a pair of koigu socks that I will keep, but for now these won't be them.

And I finished Martha! I felt way too tired and cranky this evening for a proper photo shoot, but here she is. Notice the buttons? Notice how they aren't the buttons I showed you earlier? I found these this weekend and the best part was that they were 15 cents each. Not bad at all.

Beautiful socks! And Martha is lovely. I love the idea of the mismatched buttons. So cool! Great stuff.

Martha is beautiful! I don't have a pair of Koigu socks either, although I haven't given any away. Just haven't made any, but I'm not sure why.

Wow - 10:47 and you'd finished Martha? I am impressed - you hadn't even done the picking up of the borders and buttonholes, last I checked! Now get to blogging and sharing pictures for those of us who want to relive the Portland yarn orgy! JS

Love the Koigu socks - very interesting looking heal. And on my monitor, Martha looks like a cozy quilted top! Great idea re the different color buttons. Looking forward to the pics of it being modeled.

A girl after my own heart...mix matched buttons on such a beautifully done cardie! I love the color and the texture and I think that the whimsy of the color dots just makes it arty. :o)

Fabulous. She looks wonderful and lovely. The buttons add such character.

The socks look cozy and wonderful. I like what the Koigu did at the heel.

Beautiful sweater! I'm tuning in late - where is the pattern from? I like that stitch pattern. The buttons are cute, too!
