I am back to this century again, at least in the technology department. Card readers sure have come down in price since the last one we bought, and the new on will take all sorts of media discs as well. Gotta love the multi-purposeness of it!
Here is the flower basket shawl. I did a couple of extra repeats, but am wondering if I need to frog back and add a few more. I think that I will let the recipient decide however, since she will be the one wearing it, not me. I also wasn't having much luck or patience in getting the edges pointy, So I am thinking of putting an edging on, but don't want it to distract from the rest of the shawl. Hmm, I think I am going to have to really think about that one. Any suggestions?
Just for grins, here is a close up. I love the way the lace looks like baskets (hence the name I am sure). But it is always kind of nice when I don't have to stretch my mind too much to catch the meaning. After all my mind gets stretched enough on a daily basis as it is.
Wow. That turned out wonderfully! I love it. And from the looks of your previous posts, it looks like you have been busy, despite being sick.
Posted by: midgeling at March 3, 2005 11:20 AMVery nice. It's definitely more of a kerchief than a shawl. I would have made mine larger if I hadn't run out of yarn.
