How did it get to be Saturday, wasn't it just Monday?

After nearly 18 years of marriage, we decided it was time for a new mattress. Our current one was old when we acquired it 16 years ago and was getting way past the comfortable stage. So we bit the bullet, tried not to go into sticker shock at the price of new mattresses and we were scheduled to have the new set delivered today.

You will notice the deplorable lack of mattress now gracing our bed. They hauled away the old mattress to the delivery truck, then came back and told us that they didn't have our mattress set, but it would still be delivered today. Now, an hour after the time frame that we needed to around the house for them to deliver, we still don't have a mattress. I don't know why I didn't think to have them bring our used mattress back, but at the time it didn't cross my mind.

On the plus side, I did get the floor under the bed scrubbed, boxes back in their places and found the petrified remains of one of the missing hermit crabs. I really hope that we get the mattress delivered today though, I am not looking forward to the idea of sleeping on the floor tonight.
