Spring shoots forth

I came home from jury duty last night to find that while I wasn't looking a wee bit of spring has shot forth. I love the blue in these flowers, it is bright and cheery like the Seattle sky when it isn't grey and raining.

And then this little one apparently had just opened up. I don't think that I saw it earlier in the day when I left the house.

My two day stint at jury duty has now been extended by a day. Just as I though that I might just get let go yesterday afternoon, a bunch of us got pulled for a jury pool. We got sent home with the instructions to come back for jury selection this morning. So here I am, on a jury. The trial is expected to last until tomorrow. This has to be one of the most disjointed weeks at work that I have experienced in a long time. An hour here and there just isn't cutting it as far as feeling like I am actually accomplishing my job.

But jury duty is important too. Hopefully it will be just one more day.

Fingers crossed!

Periwinkle and paperwhites. Beautiful!

Best of luck with the jury duty, I hope it wraps up quickly.

Glad you've found the flowers this week! It's good to have some positive things to focus on when other stuff arises. I'm glad people like you are serving on juries. Good people, I mean. :)

Jury duty is important, tho. we may not want to do it. It does seem to interrupt us at times, but it is a good part of our "system".
Thank you as always for stopping by my blog and leaving such thoughtful comments. I cannot tell you how much it means to me.
Go Seattle Spring! Spring is coming here...we are south of you...south of Eugene, Or. and on the way to the coast. The Humming birds are back and the little frog "peepers" at night.

Well I hope it is a really good juicy case. I guess you can't knit while on the jury either...bummer.

My week was disjointed also. At least we both had some gorgeous blooms to come home to. :)

Daffodils have been springing up in my neighborhood but then we got a good rain and they're all wet and droopy. It's sad.

I hope your jury duty ends soon!
