Celtic Hearts
I went on a bit of an excursion yesterday, and on the way I started this project.

I had purchased an extra ball of Kauni Yarn for my Autumn Leaves sweater and had happened upon the Celtic Hearts Shawl . Then I thought why not? the simple geometry that makes up the lace pattern is the perfect counterpoint for the rainbow colours in this particular yarn. And since the dye lot is drastically different than the sweater, I needed to find a use for it in some project or another. For me, it was the perfect combination.
I am making the shawl a bit bigger than what the pattern was written for. I am aiming for a complete run through of all the colours, so at the very least I have 2 1/2 colours to go. It is a delightful pattern, well written and so far I haven't discovered any errors. I have jury duty starting tomorrow and it will go with me. Along with a sock of course because I would hate to risk running out of a project to knit.

It looks really nice in those bright colours. I have some similar colour yarn, I might try something like that with it.

Now there's a splash of sunshine to brighten a dull day! Very pretty.

Wow! That's spectacular. You've picked the perfect pattern for that yarn.

It's going to beeee-you-tiful!! You made me head over to simple knits, where I spent way too much time looking around and drooling!

I'm knitting one of these and I'm loving it! I really like the idea ofthe changing colours and will have to have a look to see whether you have a finished object on show.
