Sleeve Island
I am plugging away on the sleeves of Autumn Leaves and I have been hit with a bit of unsurity. Because the sleeves are shorter around, the colour repeats seem to go on and on, resulting of way too much yellow on the first sleeve. I am thinking of ripping back and shortening the repeats. I actually like the yellow, but it isn't on my list of absolute favorites for this sweater.
On the other hand, if I rip back the likelyhood of finishing it by my self imposed deadline decreases. But I would rather finish the sweater and love the finished product, rather than be distracted by something that is not quite right. Damn. While writing this I have come to the realization that I have to do what I have been trying to ignore. Anyone want to join me in the frog pond?

Frog pond is never a fun place to visit unless, perhaps, you are a 5 year old with mom's almost finished project, but I digress... Sometimes it is a necessary visit. I agree that if you aren't totally happy with how it is going to look, you need to start the sleeves over. Why put all that work into something you won't love?

Hate to say it, but I would probably be ripping it back, too. You can always extend the deadline by a day or two. You are the boss, after all. ;-)

Bummer. You have to listen to your knitter's intuition! Have a fun dip!

If Madrona is your deadline, you still have time! You can do it!

Go with your 'Inner Knitter' who apparently needs to visit frog pond (she says as she pokes her head up out of her hole and waves) :^)
