It is a new year
It is a new year, but I have some unfinished business to attend to first. I finally was able to get to the post office last week and was able to pick up the package from my ISE 5 partner.

Annie did a great job, her knitting is beautiful I love the softness, the feel and the colour and I am sure that I will be wearing this scarf quite often. I am sorry that I don't have a link for Annie, but I hope that she reads this and knows how much I appreciate all of her knitting efforts. I would have photographed the extras she put in the package, but the little towels and bookmarks were quickly snapped up by my daughters. I hope that the items someday surface in their room, but right now it looks like that may be a while.
I have a couple of other belated thank yous too, but I am going to spread them out over the next couple of days.

I do have my first finished object of the year, I finished my Earl Grey Socks made from Noro Kuyreon Sock. I must say that the yarn felt a bit weird while knitting up, but they don't feel too bad on my feet. I had thought about not using the fushia portion, but then decided to make them up as they are. I did alter the pattern a bit in that I didn't carry the pattern down the foot. The major deciding factor in that was that when I hit the first foot part, it was really dark in the car and I decided that there was a lot to be said at the time for just plain stockinette knitting.
I kind of loosely decided today that this will be the year for finishing up FO's and trying to not add to my stash. Yeah right. I'll need a good dose of luck along with that decision.

that scarf has been knitted so beautifully, you are a lucky lady! I love those Noro socks, the pink bit looks lovely. I haven't heard anybody really rave about the noro sockyarn though, and as pretty as it is, I don't feel compelled to order some. I'm just off to look at the sock pattern though, it looks like a good neat fitter!

So nice! I got 3 skiens of that yarn for Christmas.... which to start with first? And I'm thinking of making the Sidewinders socks with it - have you seen those?

Gorgeous scarf and socks! Happy New Year! I've loosely decided to not add to the stash this year too. I might need to be locked up without internet access to make that work.
