It's Snailing around here!
It is actually a mixture of snow and rain. Fiona decided that *snailing* was the perfect word for it. I tried to get a picture, but unless it decides to lean a bit more towards the snow end of things, all you get is just a picture of a grey, cold Seattle Christmas day.
I have spent the day cutting up apples for apple butter, and I even tried making a pie. It doesn't look anything like the one that the PIoneer Woman makes, and the crust looks awful, but it smells heavenly.

I cooked up the scraps of the pie crust and it fortunately tastes much better than it looks! It is going to be quite the challenge not dig in before I take it to the family get together later this afternoon.
And how is your Christmas Day shaping up? I am going to go find the bottom of my sink and then settle in for some knitting time before we leave.
eta: cancel finding the bottom of the kitchen sink. I have to boil water first. The water heater is dead.

Triple drats on the water heater!!!
Oh yeah, that Pioneer Woman! I ran into that blog awhile back and just settled in and made myself at home! From what I gather in past posts, etc, she lives in Oklahoma.. somewhere!
NOW it will be a quiet rest of the day, it's a bit after 5pm and tomorrow I'm just staying in bed. :^)
