I am now even farther behind.
I am beginning to wonder if I should just give up. I had a package all ready to go for my Holiday Traditions Exchange partner. Thinking that it wouldn't help me at all to leave it on the stove while I attempted to cook (yes, it does happen, somehow the kids seem to think I am obligated to feed them) I set the package on a chair. Yesterday morning I came out to find shredded wrapping paper all over the place and two very guilty looking dogs. They hadn't been fed the night before and thought that chocolate covered caramels smelled like a likely alternative. And yes, they destroyed the rest of the gift as well.
So Jody, here is my very public aplogy. I am very sorry. I really hope that you believe in the 12 days of Christmas, because there is now no way that I can get a package to you by Tuesday.
I am going to go crawl in a hole now.

How upsetting!!!
I'm sure your Holiday Traditions Exchange partner will understand.

Wow, I hope your dogs are OK! (chocolate is a big no-no...)
You know, these things happen to all of us. It's the thought and all your good intentions that really count. Any person who might not understand the desperation of hungry dogs and children? Well, maybe that's beyond fixing with just a present. I'm sending you a hug, Marti. Sounds like you're feeling a little frazzled.

Oh, boy. Did you crate the dogs along with the child that didn't feed them? ;-) That is just awful.

......dude.... there's a vacant hole right next to mine... you are so very welcome to it!
(I love you :^)
How incredibly frustrating.. sigh... hang in there and hang tough... or just come on over, there's an easy chair in that hole, and a nice warm blankie, a reading light, so bring a good book :^)

No worries! It's happened to me many times too :)
You want to be mad at the pups, but then they look at you with that face and it's all over - you just melt :)
