Rug Finishing
Don't go into shock, but in the process of cleaning this weekend I found a languishing project and finished it.

It's a log cabin rug made from odds and ends of kitchen cotton on size 7 needles and the pattern is from Mason Dixson knitting

I love the bright cheeriness of the completed project and I am really glad to be done with it. Knitting on double strands of kitchen cotton on size 7 needles is rather tough on my hands. I didn't care much for weaving in the ends either. It is a bit dirty too, but it won't be long before I have to do a load of laundry, so it won't be that way for long.

It's so cute and cheery! I homemade bathroom rug is definitely on my todo list along with one for the kitchen.

Dude! That IS bright and cheery! Likewise with the homemade rugs for bathroom and kitchen... but my hands already ache just thinking about the knitting.
Way to go, girlfriend!

That rug is great. I love the colors and I am thinking that if I started it and it was tough on my hands, I might have said goodbye. Good for you.
I am assuming that you are in the PNW area. If you are, I hope that you and your family survived the storm. It was certainly something. More to come, I am sure as it's not even winter. Best to you, Ellen
