Disaster Strikes
I have been determined to get this sweater done by Christmas. I am oh so close to having the body done, and I am quite pleased with the way the colours are playing against each other beautifully.

Alas, disaster struck this morning. I picked up the sweater and started to knit away. I didn't get very far because I discovered this:

The needle snapped. It has been rendered unusable. That is what happens when some idiot puts the laundry basket on top of her knitting and then some kid bounces on the couch.

Oh yikes! Good thing said kid did not get pierced.

What a bummer! Years ago I had a sweater in progress, went to work on it and discovered that the cat had had her kittens on my half finished sweater. It was not pretty!
I think that this sweater you are working on is so beautiful. Go fetch that other needle!

Oh ouch. At least the needle's easier to replace than the knitting.

Ouch. Kids and knitting needles! Good thing no one was hurt. Your sweater is terrific. Did you say you used the straight EQ throughout your sweater? Or is there a different color for accents? Just curious. I haven't started my Autumn. Still test driving some EF I had.

So sorry about the demise of the needle. Your Autumn Leaves looks fantastic, though. I love the way the colours are working!
