Today is someone's birthday...
Today is my younger brother's birthday. I won't tell how old he is, because it obviously makes me seem so much older. But I have loved him from before the moment of his arrival all those years ago and love him even more today. Here is to many more years of brother/sisterly love. Happy Birthday little brother!

I snapped the above picture yesterday morning. The sunrise was absolutely jaw dropping in colour. True to the adage of 'red in morning, sailors take warning' a storm blew in last night bringing much needed snow to the mountains.
In spite of the fact that I seem to be ripping out more than I am knitting, I am making progress on the Autumn Leaves Cardigan:

I am absolutely loving the way that the colours and the pattern are perfect for each other, and I can't seem to knit it fast enough. Which probably explains why I spend more time ripping out than knitting. It was rather sad when I realized this morning that I would be kntting the exact same row on the way to work that I was knitting on yesterday.

Angus would like to remind us all that this perfect hibernation weather and would we please stop creating chaos so that he can get his beauty sleep. Angus, that is so not happening around here!

Happy birthday to lil bro! And those pics really are great. Um, did you realize that yesterday at lunch you called Angus "Sabaka"? I didn't say anything at the time. Just smiled to see that even after several years, he is still very much close to you.

I very, very rarely see the sunrise, unless from the other end. That one is gorgeous.
Happy birthday to little brother. My siter's 50th happens tomorrow and Sunday I host her party. By following a series of links from your cupcake post, I just oredered a vegan cupcake and a vegan baking book so I can bake something we both can eat. thanks for the impetus.
Plus I had thought it a coincidence that you and Rebecca posted on Cupcake Royalle in the same week. Not so, I see.
