I didn't drive at all yesterday
The day didn't start out that way. But after we walked to the restaurant for breakfast, then over to get Fiona's hair cut and back to home, I figured that I could very well walk down to Cupcake Royale to meet up with some friends. I decided it was good to do without motorized transportation once and a while.

The sun was shining and this was the shadow from the window on the wall. I was going to wait until the angles showed the coffee part, but I am glad that I shot this when I did. By the time the sun had shifted to where 'coffee' should have been, there were other shadows that obliterated the words anyway.

I had a great latte, with wonderful coffee art. Not only was it very pretty, but amazingly enough, the design didn't go away as I sipped. By the time that I got to the end, it was of course gone, but I got a lot of pleasure out of seeing the design left in the foam.

The guy I was sitting next to ate the bottom of his cup cakes first, piling up the tops until the last. Quite clever really.

Elephy got to hang out with the new kid on the block. They were both quite happy to just hang out together. It was a fun time, just sitting at the coffee shop knitting, trying to absorb what a bunch of camera geeks were talking about. But I felt oddly comfortable, even thought I only really knew Rebecca before hand.

Oh my, look at those adorable little guys sipping their coffee..and so politely. I can't tell you how much I love them. They would both keep one comforted, happy and warm of a winter's night.
Thanks so much for sending a message my way. I truly appreciate it! e.

Yep - that's how I eat my cupcakes - pull off the bottoms and get that taken care of first, then on to the good stuff - the icing. As you can tell, I love icing. None of that whipped creamy look - it's got to be nice and stiff, with a crunch to it, with butter being the ingredient instead of transfatty shortening.
