We had a snow day today. We got several inches of snow that never managed to melt. The kids are hoping for another snow day, but I am not so sure. It is supposed to melt off tomorrow. In all the years we have lived in this house, I have never seen it snow this much, especially this early in the year.

As promised, here are some pics of Chace. He escorted Kassie home on the bus.

Here's Kassie opening her presents:

And here she is dressed up in her fairy princess clothes she got today:

Here is Lexa modeling one of the dresses that Grandma Carol made for the two girls. They were so thrilled with their new "princess dresses" and they received many compliments on them today while we were out.

And here is Kassie blowing out her candles.

So I think we will have a small family/friend party this coming weekend. Maybe it will just be us, Anne, Doug and Greg. I don't exectly know yet. I am really not that together with this young kid party thing. Older kids are easier. Chuck E. Cheese, McD's or something like that and it is all taken care of.
Kassie requested cheese pizza for dinner. That made it easy on me. Overall, it was a good day. I knew it when Kassie took a big bite of cake and said "This is the best birthday ever!"
We made princess crowns this morning.

Then I put together the dollhouse from Grandma Thumper and Laura while Harley fed the girls oreos for breakfast to keep them out of the room while I worked. [I think next time I need to be more specific about what breakfast should be.]

Kassie wants cheese pizza for dinner. We still have to go out and get her a small cake for today. Her "party" will probably be next weekend, since Anne wasn't available this weekend (and really, neither were we). I am glad Kassie is still young enough that she doesn't care if we celebrate the weekend past her real birthday instead of the weekend before.
I'll post more pictures after Daddy gets home and we do dinner, cake and the rest of her presents.
