Christmas Mittens

I started a pair of Cabled Convertible Mittens the other day. I finished the first, and am part way up the hand on the second. For these, i am using Rowan Cashsoft DK in a sort of rosy-tinted beige color that they call Savannah. Normally I am not a big beige fan, but this color has a bit more depth to it, and the softness is incredible.

And here is a close up of the cabling, since I can't take a decent photo of anything tonight.

The husband is off to CA again for another week. It's his last round of training for Juniper network stuff. He doesn't sound too thrilled, since it isn't exactly for holiday. At least the hotel he stays in is very nice. I finally got the kids to sleep and it is quiet here. I think I like it!

I can't believe I made it through NaBloPoMo without missing a day. I've not exactly been the most interesting person this whole time, but I made it. It was a nice challenge for me. I am behind on reading my favorite bloggers, so hopefully if I can keep the kids under control this next week, I can take some time to read and knit at the computer. Wish me luck...
