How Proud Am I?
Today I went to a Children's Ministry conference in Redmond. Mr Midgeling took the kids to Tacoma for the 2008 LMA Open. I didn't make it to the tournament because I had the dates wrong in my head, so I committed myself to the conference. I thought the tournament was next weekend. I was bummed that I missed watching Harley, Chace and Kassie compete, especially since it was Kassie's first time sparring in a competition. Not to mention that they were all participating in one of the biggest tournaments in the Northwest.
So to make me feel a bit better, the three kids brought me home these:
Harley - 14-15 year old female color belts. GOLD MEDAL.
Chace - 10-11 year old male color belts. BRONZE MEDAL.
Kassie - 6-7 year old Female beginner belts. BRONZE MEDAL.
Harley did exceptionally well. She won the gold by the 12 point rule in the last few remaining seconds of her match. Chace and Kassie have decided that they want to take the beginner sparring classes at the dojang now. I am so incredibly happy and proud of all three kids. ![]()
